My husband, two adult daughters, and myself went on your 5-hour kayak/snorkel tour on Wednesday, December 24. We had a great experience and remember it as one of the best activities of our vacation on Maui. We appreciated the small group size as well as our guide’s expertise and knowledge. He was very helpful and patient and always seemed to have our safety and enjoyment in mind. A couple days later we did another snorkel experience with Ann Fielding, the marine biologist. She asked about our kayak/snorkel experience because it concerns her to see so many out there and she wondered how well they were run. She was very reassured when we described our experience and how informative and conscientious our guide was. Please send your guide our thanks for giving us such a fun learning experience. Sorry about the late reply.  I have been chasing a few fires and life just got busy.  Love the trips; we all enjoyed your time and effort.  Maui Kayaks is the type of company you will always want to find when vacationing.   Thanks!!!!! I took the 5-hour South Shore kayak trip with my brother and the next day signed up for the Makena Explorer adventure with my pregnant wife and parents. Rich is an excellent guide and takes care of the first time kayaker and the details.  You will love the customer service, unique small groups, and the turtles.

Loved our trip with Maui Kayaks. Our guide was great. Although the dolphins weren't there when we were, we did see a ton of fish and turtles and even the humuhumu fish. Also saw a whale breech about 200-300 yards away. Very cool. You will love it. The water is very clear at your first snorkel stop. If there is any time for an underwater camera -- that is it. The kayaking itself is a lot of fun too. Have fun!

My wife and I went out on another trip with Maui Kayaks this year. It was an awesome experience. Dave was our guide and he was extremely helpful and educational. Dolphins, a whale and lots of turtles surrounded us. We spoke to one couple (in our group) and they went out on a Maui Kayaks trip earlier in the week and had such a great time, they decided to go out again. I think they toured a whale-watching kayak trip the day prior. They too mentioned they loved the small groups! This is our second trip with Maui Kayaks. Last year we went out with Rich and he was professional and fun. This is truly the highlight of our trip!

The highlight of the trip was possibly the six-hour kayak tour we took with Maui Kayaks. Our guide, Rich, will only take out a maximum of 8 people in tandem kayaks (with big dry bags provided!) so it was a great group. The other outfitters who were trying to corral like twenty people just made me nervous. We paddled out a few minutes and spotted some dolphins and got into the water and snorkeled with them. We discovered why they’re called spinner dolphins when one jumped up in the air and spun, going totally Sea World on us. One of the coolest things is when you have your head in the water; you can hear their echolocation sounds--very surreal.

We planned to get married in Maui and set up several activities for our wedding party. We had a party of 19 and booked a trip with Maui Kayaks. What a wonderful time. It was by far the best adventure for our group. We reserved a trip at Honolua Bay. They took us to a couple of beautiful snorkel sites. Rich was our guide and he was / is fantastic. He was educational, he definitely respects the marine life and he looked out for our safety. When we landed we were served cold beverages (of our choice) and BBQ chicken kabobs. This was delicious. Each of the guides took time to chat with us and even offered some great suggestions for other places to go. We reserved this trip a few months in advance and they were excellent in following up with our lunch requests, etc. I was pleasantly surprised to receive gorgeous Hawaiian lei from Rich. He made me feel very special. I would highly recommend this trip to parties that are looking for a unique adventure and experience. Thank you Rich and everyone at Maui Kayaks for making us feel very special!
